Have you sometimes got stuck while you are wanting to create something desperately??
Did you know Creative blocks may also occur as a result of many things.
It could be....
Anxiety about the outcome. (will the client like it? Will me followers like it?)
A personal loss.
THE NEED FOR PERFECTION.
Repeated rejection of your work.
Most common reason is SELF DOUBT (Negative self talk - criticism) It could also be....
Lack of financial support (eg: maybe coz you cant buy supplies)
But but but.... Don't worry! Most creative blocks are temporary. I understand that you might be feeling anxious, have doubts and might be fearing something.... Believe in the process. Believe in your creativity!
Let me help you with 15 THINGS that will allow your CREATIVITY to FLOW!
Step away from your sketch book & Keep your electronic screens away
Go for a walk / Do Yoga / Dance your heart out!
Try another medium
Journal – Write down all your ideas
Hunt through your supplies.
Search a hashtag / contest on Instagram and use the prompts to create something different (Check out the prompts blog page).
Organize your supplies / Drawing Desk / Studio
Go through your ideas book / journal
Read / hear a podcast of an Inspirational Story of someone
Do something super boring (as mundane as cleaning / washing dishes)
Listen to your favorite music. (I do this most of the time :P, even while creating something, it helps me get new ideas :D)
Talk to a non-artistic friend about your project.
Pin! Pin! Pinterest!
YOU JUST MIGHT NEED A BREAK! & if nothing works….
SLEEP! (This helps me :) )
These will definitely help you break the creativity block!
SD_Tip: Forget about the project. Do another medium!
If you still cannot go past this block or it takes a prolonged period of time to go past this phase take professional help.
Believe in your gut if it says this is beyond a creative block.
